This website is administered by Doncaster Council and provided by Idox Software Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent version of NVDA)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
The council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below:
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Placeholder text has an insufficient colour contrast to the background colour, so visually impaired users may not be able to read this text. This fails WCAG 2.2 (Level AA) success criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum). We will change this to a sufficient colour contrast by March 2025.
Navigation by keyboard only is not possible on all pages, so people only using a keyboard may not be able to reach all elements of a page. This fails WCAG 2.2 (Level A) success criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard. We will make sure it's possible for people only using a keyboard to navigate all elements of a page by March 2025.
Some hyperlinks do not have descriptive text, so people using a screen reader may not understand the context of affected links. This fails WCAG 2.2 (Level A) success criterion 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context). We will be including descriptive text for all hyperlinks by March 2025.
Some buttons, radios and checkboxes do not have a visible focus indicator, so people only using a keyboard may struggle to find their place on the page. This fails WCAG 2.2 (Level AA) success criterion 2.4.7 Focus Visible. We will make sure all elements have a visible focus indicator by March 2025.
In the case sidebar, some section values and IDs do not match or are not similar, which means assistive technologies can not properly present affected page content. This fails WCAG 2.2 (Level A) success criterion 4.1.1 Parsing. We will correct affected elements by March 2025.
Some page elements do not have correct names, roles or values, which means people using assistive technologies may not understand affected elements. This fails WCAG 2.2 (Level A) success criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value. We will correct affected elements by March 2025.
